This past March, the lanes at Puyat Sports in Makati Cinema Square became the arena for a spirited display of corporate sportsmanship. Over four days, Truelogic held its Bowl-a-Rama tournament, a series of high-stakes matches that brought together approximately 35 participants representing their respective departments.

Departmental Rivalry on the Lanes

The event was structured as a formal inter-team competition, pitting our established departments against one another. This format allowed teams to defend their departmental honor through precision and strategy. The atmosphere was charged with a professional yet intense competitive energy, as each group aimed to out-calculate and out-perform their colleagues from across the organization.

The tournament showcased more than just bowling proficiency; it highlighted the internal cohesion of our teams. Whether securing a critical strike or recovering from a difficult frame, the focus remained on collective effort. While every team demonstrated commendable skill, one group rose to the occasion with exceptional consistency.

Congratulations to the BD/Growth Team, who emerged as the overall winners of the Bowl-a-Rama. Their strategic approach and steady performance under pressure earned them the top spot on the leaderboard.

Networking and Sustenance

To ensure participants maintained their peak performance throughout the four-day event, a selection of pizza and pasta was provided. This catered merienda served as a tactical intermission, giving teams the opportunity to discuss strategy and build rapport in a more relaxed setting before returning to the bowling alley‘s competitive environment.

In Their Own Words

The impact of the event was best captured by those on the lanes. Here is what some of our participants had to say:

“We had a great time at Puyat Sports Bowling Alley! Our company-sponsored bowling session turned out amazing—everyone was competitive, energized, and truly enjoyed the experience. The bowling alley itself is well-maintained, with good equipment, and the attendants were polite and always ready to assist. Overall, it was a fun and memorable team experience.”

– Ray S., Web Development

“Bowling was exciting! The best thing about the event was connecting with workmates outside the office and, of course, witnessing the competitive fire brought out in all competitors. The pizza served was so good!”

– Juls V., Strategy

“My experience at Bowl-A-Rama at Puyat Sports was genuinely exciting and a fun way to end the workday. The vibe was lively, the lanes were smooth, and every turn felt engaging. Even as a beginner, it was still so much fun. It was full of laughs, friendly competition, and a great way to unwind.”

– Deya A., Content

“Good team-building activities done without having to spend a night in a faraway place are rare. More of these, please! Oh, and hopefully we get a schedule where more teams can get together in a single day.”

– Jeriel M., SEO

“The bowling activity at Puyat Sports helped everyone foster new bonds, especially for newcomers like me. It sparked our competitiveness not only as individuals but also as a group, which brought everyone together for one goal.

Being the clear winner and having the bragging rights as the best bowling team in Truelogic, I hope we can have more times like this in the future.”

Investing in the Truelogic Culture

The Bowl-a-Rama served as a reminder that a healthy competitive spirit is a vital component of a high-performing organization. By transitioning our professional dynamics from the office to the bowling alley, we were able to observe our staff’s leadership and resilience in a different light. These engagements are essential for maintaining a vibrant, connected workforce and for fostering the departmental pride that fuels our daily operations.
